When the sun set over Belvedere Palace, I caught the metro back to the Hofburg. During the evening, I spent most of the time walking around the Hofburg, Maria Theresia Platz before making my way back up to Stephensplatz. The moon had also appeared, as if wanting to accompany me during my tour.

Background
The sun had started to go down when I arrived at Belvedere Palace. It was still bright enough to have a wander around the gardens, since the gardens closed around 7pm, but none of the fountains were operating, so I headed back to the centre of Vienna, so I can watch the lights come on.
The moon had also come out, as seen by most of the photos. Furthermore, there didn't seem to be many people wandering around the palace during the night. This was in contrast to Stephensplatz, where lots of people were still present dining in the coffee shops and restaurants or wandering around looking at the shop windows. Anyway, I think they really missed out on seeing Vienna light up at night, especially the Hofburg and Maria Theresien Platz.
