Short, but tiring, hike up towards the Eiger from Grindelwald Grund. Walking around the narrow roads to get good vantage points of Grindelwald along the slope of Eiger.

Background
After a brief rest at the hostel, I ventured up the slopes towards the Eiger, crossing the Lutschine River and walking along the narrow roads up the slope, following the signs pointing to Brandegg, or Alpligen. As I walked further up towards the Eiger, the roads became steeper and narrower, sometimes it was quite hard getting a foothold. I kept walking until I got to a track crossing with a big farmhouse right next to it.
A few hundred metres east from the track crossing, I was near the foot of the Eiger where some hard snow was still present. Looking south was Grindelwald and Grund, its houses and buildings looking like models in a town set. As it was also spring, some flowers had started to bloom. Hope there will be more picturesque days like this.
