Walking along the beach, in Newport Beach last week.

The peacefulness and isolation really struck me as a surprise - having the beach on a clear blue day to myself is one of the best things if you find yourself in Newport on a weekday. Not to mention Newport Beach being absent from the radar dish of most tourists and visitors.
